I never thought I could take care of lil kids because kids either scare me or run away from me for some reason, but I spent half a day with these two kids at Goma and I must say, I am now a babysitting master. no joke.
They’re having a fairy-tale theme exhibition for kids at Goma now, which explains the babysitting just in case you’re wondering, because babysitting isn’t really my cup of tea.
This is one of the few exhibitions by a Japanese or Korean artist I’m not sure? But I think she’s just really obsessed with polka dots. in a creative way.
We entered a white room with round-shaped coloured stickers stuck everywhere. As soon as you walk inside the room, a lady will hand you a sheet of stickers for you to stick wherever you like!
They even had a white piano decorated with stickers!
so awesome!
Meet David (left) and Alvin (right)! The two lil kids NE. brought with her, and I just helped to babysit. They sat down as they got bored of the polka dot room while I was still inside taking pictures because i was too amazed and fascinated by it.
I could stay in there all day long and never get tired of sticking those colourful round stickers!
And next we entered the magic land!
A land that would never exist in real life, nah jokes don’t wanna kill the atmosphere. Erm so it’s basically a place filled with all these lil nice thingy I don’t know what they’re called!
Still don’t know what they’re called but it’s so pretty right? They’re really fragile so no one was allowed to touch it. I don’t know what they’re made of, but looking at them reminds me of colourful cotton candy.
Pink love hearts! <3
Yellow love hearts!
More love hearts! <3
These lil nice thingos are so precious and fragile they had to be displayed inside an enclosed cave. I guess the artist is just trying to display what they think magic land should look like. It’s more like a fantasy land. I think I get it.
But I’m yet to understand the polka dots room, even though I like it and think the artist is incredibly creative using polka dots to make art, I just don’t get why.
Our next stop was the Museum! But it was under construction and renovation so we couldn’t go in. So, we walked past the state library to get to the bus stop and saw many HUGE AS cockroaches on the ceiling! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
Well they’re fake, made of metal, but still, why on earth would you stuck so many huge massive metal cockroaches on the ceiling? D: this is definitely not Art.
Aren’t these two cute? Apparently it’s their signature pose whenever they’re together and taking a picture. Awww. I told NE. they’d both grew up and become good friends in the future but she didn’t seem to believe me and I don’t know why.
While waiting for my bus, we had a camwhoring session.
My favourite picture of the day!
Second favourite picture of the day!
It was so hard to get a good photo with Alvin! Because he gets distracted so easily.
Me: HEY Alvin where are you looking at? Alvin : *continues to stare and ignores my question*
And i thought i was in good hands at babysitting after spending a day with him.
Maybe not.
Stay tune for more holidays posts!
