So, tell me again, who in the world would have their students go to a graduation ceremony at 7.30am in the morning?
My school. =/
Even so, it was the last time we would ever wear our school uniforms and see our school and class mates.
The wait for my turn to get up on stage to receive our envelopes was long. The teachers even gave me the wrong envelope because a guy in front of me was absent. After another wait, i got the right envelope with my name on it the end..
Mum couldn’t make it to my graduation but it’s okay, I’ve got my dad.
It all ended quite fast, and it wasn’t as sad as I expected because they didn’t put sad songs, or graduation songs to make us emotional. I felt emptiness, plus JOY.
So it ended. Many hugs were given.
Farewell messages written.
Photos taken. This is my clan teacher, Mrs Nicolson. A teacher who gave us chocolate muffins each year to celebrate our birthdays.
My physics teacher Mr Williams, a very thoughtful teacher whom at graduation day gave each and every student in his physics class a bar of fudge as a gift with a farewell message on it.
I will miss his jokes.
My year deputy principal and year coordinator.
I opened my graduation envelope as soon as I got inside the car. Felt so happy when I saw this:
I finally made it. I graduated from high school with no tears =)
No more waking up at 7 in the morning to bus to school
No more getting yelled at by teachers
No more school uniform
No more boring morning tea and lunch times
No more seeing classmates on a daily basis
Just no more.
Welcome to the real world Hannah.
