Gotta love apple

If you don’t already know. I swapped my first love BB bold 9700 for apple’s iPhone 4. And also if you haven’t heard, the reason for this is because I was in desperate need of an ipod, yes ipod, life without music just kills me.

This itouch as a birthday present from my parents for my 16th got stolen 3 months ago. I still don’t know which bastard took it from my bag while i was in class, lesson learnt, do not leave your important stuff unattended.

It accompanied me through thick and thin for 16 months. It didn’t feel the same anymore when it was gone, I'll never forget those lonely bus rides.  I wasn’t really sad or devastated or anything, it just felt weird like I'm missing an organ in my body and it wouldn’t function properly anymore. But I was really disappointed in that person who stole it. WHY YOU TAKE SOMETHING THAT IS NOT YOURS?

So well, my body malfunctioned for at least 2 months (although i ransacked my bro’s ipod nano whom was happy for me to borrow it for a while). But in the end, I felt bad borrowing it for too long, instead of getting a new ipod why not just get the iphone?

After debating with myself for one month whether or not to get it because i was such a loyal blackberry user, I ended getting iphone 4 for a ridiculously cheap price from a friend. So just like that, I joined the apple family.

It’s been exactly 1 month since i got it and i still can’t find any reasons to hate it. Except for the fact that it’s not like the new sensational iphone 4s with the coolest feature function ever – Siri. But that’s okay, I don’t mind.

I used to be a blackberry fan, under the influence of my brother. I love blackberry, still do. But now that I’m using Apple, how can I not love it too?

Being an ex-blackberry user, and current Apple user, I honestly can’t tell which is better because they both have their own goods and bads. And this brings me to these two statements below ::

1. Things I like about Apple (iPhone 4)

  • Built in ipod.
  • Amazing apps and games. Blackberry has apps, but there are not easy to download where as apple users just get them from app store on iTunes.
  • 5MP camera. plus 3G front camera for Facetime. (and camwhoring, *cough cough*)
  • High resolution screen with Retina display.
  • The best of all - The power of iCloud. by setting up PhotoStream, without plugging your cable into your laptop, with wifi, pictures taken on my phone will be automatically updated on my laptop.

2. Things I like about Blackberry (BB bold 9700)

  • Keypads. Easy and nice to type. I like the touch of pressing on keypads on blackberry compared to tapping on a screen on apple to type. I miss that.
  • The one button click to unlock screen. I get annoyed at sliding to unlock my iphone lock screen.
  • Instant pop up mail to your inbox. On iphone, you have to click on mail to refresh it because it doesn’t automatically receive new mails instantly.
  • Easy convenient file transfer to computer. Just drag and drop. No need for syncing files or music on iTunes like apple.

So, there you have it. i think most people are smart enough to differentiate which is better than the other. I’d still be using my blackberry if it wasn’t for that person who stole my ipod. I guess, I have to say thanks ?

As for my blackberry, I miss using it. Guess I’ll have to say goodbye to it. and give it a new owner soon.
